Power Modules
Modular and Flexible AC/DC and DC/DC inverter systems
The 3PExpress™ power modules provide power electronics interfaces for grid tie, DC/DC and motor control applications. They are extremely versatile and easy-to-use. As such they are ideal for R&D and proof-of concepts. The power modules are part of the 3PExpress™series and complement the 3PExpress control units and software modules.

- All powermodules are based on 3-phase IGBT inverter technology
Features
- The power module come with all relevant measurements and interfaces included. As such, they are ready-to-use, requiring a minimum of time for configuration and setup.
- Multiple modules can be connected and controlled by a single control unit. This enables the realization of 4-quadrant motor controls and multi-channel, bidirectional DC/DC and AC/DC applications.
- Easy to install and use, shortcutting time to bring new concepts and ideas to hardware.
Available configurations
PMxxF30C, PMxxF40C:
Power modules for respectively 3-phase, 3-wire and 3-phase, 4-wire grid AC/DC conversion. Suited for creating active filters and frontends and for realizing AC current and voltage sources.
PMxxM30C:
Power module comprising a motor drive. Suited for on-the-fly testing of new control algorithms for all sorts of electrical machines.
PMxxF03C:
Power module with 3DC/DC conversion interfaces. Suited for interfacing with batteries and photovoltaic panels
All Power Modules can be freely combined into applications controlling power flows from multiple sources, sinks and storage elements.
Popular combinations are:
- PMxxF30+F03: Power module comprising a bidirectional grid-DC converter, suited for battery testers and grid-storage interfacing
- PMxxF30+M30: Power module combining a motor drive and an active frontend. Suited for four-quadrant motor control or for the control of doubly-fed induction generators.
